Well, we know that this year seems like spring has already sprung, yet it officially arrives on Tuesday, March 20 at 1:14 a.m. Not that we aren't happy to welcome it in! Even though it has been a pretty mild winter, our artists are thinking Spring and getting creative!

Then, Easter graces us with her presence on Sunday, April 8. Doesn't it just make you want to go out and shop???

The Wearing of the Green!

Oscar Wilde said: "I can resist everything except temptation."

Well, March is flying by. Spring your clocks ahead on the 11th and then gather with your friends and family on the 17th to celebrate "the wearing of the green" and the drinking of the beer! But don't get fluthered or you'll be sorry!

Wanting to get someone a good luck shamrock tile, or wear a little green for the occasion? Dance a jig right on over the the Dancing Eye Gallery! We have all the green. Even lime-basil Zum soap, Celtic cross coasters, beer bands and more!

I'll leave you today with an Irish blessing:

May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead.

New from Pewabic!

Next time you are visiting us at the Dancing Eye Gallery, make sure to check out the 2 new releases from Pewabic Tile.

Pictured are the owl in the Pewabic glaze and Michigan tile in the Cobalt glaze. Both come in 3"x3" size and are available in several colors.

By the way, we receive new shipments from Pewabic often and are also able to place orders for you right here.

We know you love Pewabic and we thank you for supporting Michigan artists.

Greetings!

NEW CARDS! NEW CARDS!

February is a great month to tell someone that you are thinking of them with a creative, sassy Quotable card, for instance.

Whether it's a birthday, Valentine's Day (2/14 this year!), friendship or just a funny thought, these cards are perfect! They are printed on recycled paper, acid-free and chlorine-free. They are printed in the USA with certified wind power using vegetable based inks!
How cool is that? They are so natural, you could probably eat them--NO, NO don't do that, but you know what I'm saying, right?

They just came in but are selling fast, so get one (or more) before they're gone!

February First Friday Experience

Back by popular demand are the dynamic artist duo of Stephanie Scigliano and Christine Wilson! They will be here together again for First Friday Experience on Friday, 2/3/12. (They were here for Girl's Night Out on 11/11/11, check out our 11/7/11 blog for more pictures.)

Stephanie will return with her colorful assortment of hand- and tie-dyed scarves. These soft, colorfast olive m'lou scarves will perk up any outfit including your mood!

Christine will be featuring her beaded and metal wearable art. Recycled materials such as bottle caps have a retro appeal. Some of her creations include earrings, wrist cuffs and key chains.

We will be open until 8 p.m. that evening, so join us and meet the artists. While you are here, don't forget our selection of Valentine goodies like beeswax, essential oil candles and unique greeting cards.

The Heart -- Center of All Feelings

It was formerly believed that the heart was the center of all human emotion.

Accordingly, the gift of a heart signified the selfless act of giving everything to the one you love.

This Valentine's Day, give your gift from the heart. Just to show you a few "heart-felt" ideas from our artists, see photos above. There is much to give that special someone!

Come in to shop, and remember, we will put our heart and soul into gift-wrapping your selections!
