ARTCLOTHES

Jennifer Ethier creates these beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces from 100% wool.
Made of all new fabrics, the surface designs are appliqued, created with the freestyle motion on the sewing machine. (That would be like drawing free-hand.) She also signs each piece this way.
The buttons are all handmade.
Choose from coats, jackets and vests-- button and zipper styles.
All except zipper styles can be special ordered through the Gallery.
With the cold winds of late fall upon us, what better way to keep warm and cozy than by making a statement in one of Jennifer's original designs.
For your shopping convenience, we are now open every Friday night until 8 p.m.

Mighty Wallets

Are you a Brady Bunch fan? Do you remember Mighty Mouse? (My personal favorite).
If you answered yes to either of these, or even if you didn't, you must come in to see our new collection of Mighty Wallets by Dynomighty Design.
They are Mighty Strong, Mighty Thin and Mighty Green.
The wallets are made from a single folded sheet of Tyvek (same material used for express mail envelopes) with NO STITCHES.
They are durable, reusable, water-resistant, tear-resistant and stain-resistant.
They can be personalized because it is a writable surface and develops a leather-like patina as it ages.
Mighty Wallets are great fun for kids of all ages!

Laurie Sharkus designs

Visit the Gallery to see the new collection of "Bird on a Wire" and heart tiles by Michael and Patti Monroe Mohrenweiser and also the carved, perched wooden Ravens by Mark Orr.

The Mohrenweisers encaustic technique is also known as hot wax painting which involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid/paste is then applied to the surface or tile.

As Mark Orr of Scavenger Art signature pieces, the Ravens or Crows are perched on a heart or house and symbolize a gatherer of found objects and messengers of new possibilities. The birds might hold a pair of vintage dice that represents chance or fate. A skeleton key symbolizes the opening of doors.

BOO! Did we SCARE you?
Do you DIG Halloween?

We invite you in to see what TREATS
we have to sell to help you decorate
your home for that HALLOWED eve.
Make no BONES about it-we have tiles
that will HAUNT you until you take
them home (or WITCH-ever place you
might reside on that dark night).
So fly your BROOM on in here!
See you soon my pretties!
Ah-ha-ha-ha...

New Motawi Tileworks in the shop

The talented team of artisans at Motawi Tileworks create stunning, historically-informed art tile for installations or as individual art pieces.

To create this "Cuenca" style tile, an artist etches the design into a blank mold. When clay is pressed into the mold, the etched lines become raised ridges.

After a bisque firing decorators use a bulb syringe to carefully pool glaze in all of the basins to color each tile.
